Living in Silence : Real Story

Tim Tebow

I cant believe that Tim Tebow is still not in a NFL team. I don't know why the New York Jets picked him up from the Denver Broncos. He never started a game or played enough to tell whether or not he is bad or good. He probably would of done better than Mark Sanchez at quarterback but he was never given the chance. The Jets released Tim and stayed with the guy that probably had more interceptions than touchdown. I don't think what the jets did was fair, this guy is a winner. He might not be the best quarterback in the world but he is not the worst. All i know is that this guy works hard at becoming better everyday and he is a leader. He led the Broncos to the playoffs his rookie season. How are NFL teams overlooking this guy. I would of picked him up as soon as he became a free agent.

Poker

Is poker a sport? The persons from ESPN think so. ESPN has it in their website under the tab "more sports". I think its definitely not a sport. A sport involves a lot of practice to actually be good at it. Yes, you do need to practice to get better at poker but you don't do any exercise or anything physical. All you do in poker is sit for hours and look at cards. Almost all sports involve some type of running. Even walking. In poker, you do not do any of these things. For something to be a sport in my book, you have to be doing something active. Poker is more like a hobby not a sport. I would put it in the same category as bird watching.

2013 MLB All Star Game

This years all star game is going to be held in my favorite city and favorite team ballpark. Citi Field in Queens New York. This is the first all star game in Citi Field and the second all star game the New York Mets host. I really want to buy tickets, but I think its out of my price range. Its so hard to even buy tickets. I went on the MLB website and I have to sign up to an email contest to see if I get a chance to buy a ticket. Yes its a contest to see if u are eligible to buy the tickets. Its not a contest to see if you could win tickets. Hopefully i get a chance to go, even if its to the home-run derby.

Kidd Retires

Jason Kidd who is 40 years old retires after 19 seasons in the NBA. He will go down as one of the best point guards the NBA has ever seen. I remember seeing Jason Kidd play for the New Jersey Nets (now Brooklyn Nets) and taking them all the way to the NBA finals twice but never winning a championship with them. He later won a championship with the Dallas mavericks in 2011. Kidd also won an Olympic gold medal twice. Jason Kidd will be a first ballot hall of famer and will be missed in the NBA. The last team he played for was my favorite team, the New York Knicks.

Pacers vs Heat

Long live the king, Lebron James once again carries his Miami Heat to victory and advance to the NBA finals. The Indiana Pacers really gave the heat problems in this series. With their young team, they were able to contend and force a game 7 against the powerhouse from south beach. It looks like they are going to be a good team for a long time. Next on line for the Miami Heat are the San Antonio Spurs. They had a lot of time to rest because of their 4 game sweep of the Grizzlies. Who do I think is going win? I'm going for the spurs. It would be nice for Tim Duncan to retire on top and with a NBA championship.

Yankees vs Mets 2013

So my team the New York Mets finished the series sweep of the New York Yankees. All my friends that are Yankee fans are upset because bragging rights belong to the Mets this year. Yankee fans always have an excuse or smart remark to say to us mets fans about losing. They would say things like "all our players are injured" or "we let you guys win". This is a yearly rivalry. I hate when Yankee fans bring up the past. They always say things like "talk to me when you have 27 rings" or "talk to me in October". I know has not made the playoffs in a long time but hey we swept the Yankees and that's all that matters right.
